This legacy poster shows some of the major movies that showcase the (mindset) of the different eras / decades throughout sci-fi movie making.

Starting with Metropolis at the bottom - passing through movies such as Soylent Green, Blade Runner and Ghost In The Shell - all the way to the latest additions such as Avatar and IO to cast a glance into the future. All of which is brought together with a retro look to add some authenticity.
